I’ve spent years talking with people on some of their hardest days. What I’ve learned is that people need two things: to feel truly heard, and something practical they can actually use. I work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and big life changes, including newcomers and refugees adjusting to life in Canada. My background is in crisis intervention. On a national suicide crisis helpline, I support people through moments of intense distress, helping them feel heard, get through the moment safely, and find a next step. My approach is flexible and trauma-informed. If things feel overwhelming, we can start with grounding and tools to help you feel steadier. From there, we’ll set clear goals together and work toward the changes you want to see. My family roots are in North Africa, so I know what it’s like to live between cultures. I’m completing my MA in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University under the supervision of Ilda Caeiro-Azzam, MSW, RSW. Sessions are in English or French.
