Two changes at ICA, both with the same goal: removing cost and paperwork as barriers to care.
Direct billing is here. ICA Counselling & Supervision now bills most major insurance providers directly, so instead of paying up front and waiting for reimbursement, your session is submitted to your insurer on the spot — you pay only whatever portion your plan doesn't cover. Bring your insurance details to your first session (or your free consultation) and we'll confirm whether your plan is eligible for direct billing.
No co-payments for IFHP clients. Recent changes to the Interim Federal Health Program mean coverage no longer pays the full cost of counselling sessions — confirm exact framing. We've made a decision about that: ICA is waiving the 30% co-payment for our IFHP clients. If you are a refugee claimant or protected person with IFHP coverage, your therapy with us remains completely free — no co-payment, no invoice, no barrier. Rebuilding a life in a new country is hard enough. The cost of healing shouldn't be part of that weight.
