Hi, I’m Isabella
If you’re constantly feeling “on edge” or like you’re “never doing enough” I am here to support you. I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, self-doubt and grief. I also work with students and individuals navigating perfectionism, intrusive thoughts, overthinking and life transitions.
I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you are used to handling things on your own. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and free of judgment, so you can show up as you are. I take a warm, collaborative and culturally sensitive approach, working at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for each client. I value understanding each person’s unique lived experience and approach this work with openness, curiosity, and respect.
Under supervision, my work draws from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and somatic-based practices. Together, we can explore patterns in thoughts, emotions and relationships while building practical skills for daily life. My experience in fast-paced crisis settings, supporting individuals experiencing self-harm and suicidality, has shaped my calm, grounded and compassionate presence during difficult moments.
I’m currently completing my Master’s in Psychotherapy at McMaster University. I also hold a BA in Psychology, where I developed a strong understanding of social anxiety and interpersonal challenges. In addition, I completed a certificate in Mental Health Care for Interprofessional Practice, with a focus on trauma-informed care and the systemic factors that impact mental health.
If you’re curious about working together, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if it feels like a good fit. As a student therapist, I am also able to offer lower-cost therapy to help make support more accessible.
