ABOUT ME
I’m Tatiana Cabral, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Expressive Arts Therapist based in Mississauga. I offer a warm, grounded, and supportive therapeutic space for children, teenagers, adults, couples, and families. I provide therapy in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, allowing me to connect with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
My approach is gentle yet direct, compassionate yet structured. I work collaboratively with clients, honouring their stories, identities, and lived experiences. My goal is to help people feel deeply seen and understood, while supporting them in building emotional resilience, strengthening their sense of self, and finding greater clarity and balance in their lives.
I support individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, depression, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, ADHD, grief and loss, burnout, chronic illness, eating disorders, identity challenges, relationship concerns, communication difficulties, and major life transitions. I also help couples and families improve communication, increase emotional connection, and navigate conflict or life changes with more clarity and compassion.
My therapeutic style integrates expressive arts therapy with evidence-based modalities, drawing from aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, solution-focused strategies, humanistic therapy, and relational psychotherapy. I believe therapy is most effective when it reflects the uniqueness of each individual, so I adapt my approach to your needs, strengths, culture, and pacing.
My training includes a master’s-level psychotherapy program in expressive arts therapy through the CREATE Institute, as well as an existential–integrative psychotherapy program studied at the Living Institute. I am also a Certified Coach Practitioner, which supports my work with clients seeking change, clarity, and personal growth. I am currently completing advanced CBT and DBT workshops, along with ASIST suicide intervention training scheduled for completion in November 2025.
Clients often describe me as calming, patient, intuitive, and easy to open up to. I bring a grounded presence to therapy, meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them throughout the process.
My work is rooted in compassion, cultural humility, and the belief that everyone carries the inner capacity to heal, grow, and create meaningful change.
