I offer online psychotherapy and clinical supervision services, with a flexible schedule. Working as both a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, I support those impacted by trauma, including anxiety, depression, and interpersonal issues. Together, we’ll navigate the complexities of your experiences in a non-judgmental and compassionate space. We’ll explore the effects of trauma, build resilience, and help you reclaim your life. Whether it’s physical trauma that leads to PTSD or emotional, mental, or generational trauma, I can assist you in exploring the emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and spiritual impacts of your trauma. I believe that there is no right or wrong way to experience grief and trauma, and I can help you navigate difficult decisions and develop self-care practices. I am compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental. My top priority is making you feel safe as you explore the most fragile and vulnerable aspects of your life. I understand that cultural and faith-based values can influence your stress, and I use a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approach to help you cope with emotional burdens.

Jamila’s areas of interest include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. Her therapeutic approach is client-centred and strength-based, reflecting her deep interest in attentive listening. She is fascinated by how individuals make sense of their lives, the challenges they face, and the profound impact of emotions on their decisions. Jamila firmly believes that healing occurs when someone feels genuinely heard and understood, and she is committed to being a part of this transformative process. Over time, she realized that psychotherapy would allow her to combine her sincere desire to help individuals overcome their personal challenges. The interplay between scientific knowledge of the mind and the deeply human aspect of connection fuelled her passion for this path. She has personally witnessed the transformative power of therapy, not only for individuals but also for relationships and communities. It seemed like an ideal fit for her skills and values, and it continues to be an immensely fulfilling journey.

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) passionate about Emotion-Focused Therapy, as well as humanistic and existential approaches, I work from a holistic perspective—honouring each client’s inner wisdom and unique journey. I believe that every person inherently knows what is best for them; my role is to guide and support them in discovering their own answers and finding authentic, meaningful solutions. I understand the diverse challenges life presents at different stages. I also believe that our identities evolve naturally, shaped by life experiences and transitions. My approach is grounded in the understanding that the body, mind, and soul are deeply interconnected. Often, our symptoms serve as signals, inviting us to pay closer attention to areas in need of care and healing. In addition, I have a special interest in supporting individuals living with chronic pain and chronic health conditions. I understand how ongoing physical challenges can impact not only the body, but also one’s emotions, relationships, identity, and sense of purpose. In my work, I help clients navigate the emotional toll of pain and illness, address feelings of loss or isolation, and reconnect with a life of meaning and value despite health limitations. In my practice, I integrate Emotion-Focused Therapy, somatic therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Pain reprocessing psychotherapy (PRT), narrative therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support individuals, couples, and families. Whether navigating personal growth, relational dynamics, or life transitions, I help clients connect more deeply with themselves and those around them—fostering resilience, healing, and lasting change.

Hello and welcome. My name is Hastee and I am currently pursuing my master’s in counselling psychology at Yorkville University. I achieved my bachelor’s in psychology and literature from York University. I am associated with ICA Counselling as an intern therapist under the supervision of Ilda Caeiro-Azzam. I am a South Asian immigrant to Canada, who was born in India and spent my formative years between India and Abu Dhabi. Moving to Canada as a pre-teen helped open my eyes to a wider world and shaped how I approach and view the world around me, with acceptance and kindness. This also guides how I approach therapy and build our therapeutic relationship.
There are many modalities that we study in this field, and they all have their own strengths that are supported by detailed research. I, first and foremost, believe in taking an integrative, human-centred, and trauma-focused approach. Moreover, I think that every human has the capacity for incredible resilience and growth, and that comes from unconditional acceptance of oneself, as we are. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so please reach out with any questions you might have. I look forward to supporting you in this journey.

I’m a student psychotherapist currently completing my Master’s in Psychotherapy at McMaster University. My journey into this field began with a deep curiosity about the human mind and a heartfelt desire to support others through life’s many ups and downs. I hold an Honours degree in Behaviour, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Windsor, which forms the foundation of my integrative, evidence-informed approach to therapy. I work with adults from diverse backgrounds who may be navigating challenges such as trauma, anxiety (including social anxiety), depression, PTSD, grief, relationship issues, and major life transitions. I also have a special interest in men’s mental health and in supporting individuals experiencing ADHD, OCD, insomnia, and emotional dysregulation. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), helping clients explore how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours are connected—and how small, meaningful changes can lead to lasting transformation. I also take a person-centred approach, which means I focus on building a genuine, trusting relationship where you feel truly heard and understood. I aim to create a space where you can be your full self without fear of judgment. I also draw from solution-focused and strengths-based approaches, helping you build on what’s already working, discover your inner strengths, and take practical steps toward the life you want. I aim to meet each client where they are and create a supportive space where insight, healing, and growth can unfold. I am deeply committed to practicing with cultural humility and inclusivity. I believe every person’s story is shaped by their unique identity, values, and lived experiences, and I strive to ensure that each client feels respected, seen, and empowered in our work together. As a student therapist, I offer low-cost therapy sessions under the clinical supervision of an experienced registered psychotherapist. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, seeking clarity, or ready to begin a journey of healing, I would be honoured to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and compassion.

Hi, I’m Mariam 👋
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who takes a holistic, compassionate approach to supporting clients through life’s challenges. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method; instead, I collaborate with each person to create a plan that truly fits who they are and what they’re going through.
My background is a little unique — before stepping into the therapy world, I spent over a decade working in higher education, helping students navigate complex systems and life transitions.
Along the way, I saw how identity, mental health, and big life events can shape the way people learn, grow, and connect with the world. That inspired me to expand my work into psychotherapy and focus on helping individuals find clarity, confidence, and resilience through change.
I work with clients navigating:
My style is warm, curious, and non-judgmental. I draw on approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), blending them to meet each client’s unique needs rather than sticking rigidly to one method. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where you can explore, heal, and feel empowered to move forward.
